One of the things that make me feel beautiful is to style my hair. And when I am not in the mood to blow dry them I am going for this amazing wavy – loose curls look!
This is a super easy overnight hairstyle for curls and it is great for work, for school or even if you work from home but you still want to look gorgeous!
We are going through some difficult times and most of us have to work from home or stay at home and this is affecting our lives in many levels. The first thing that matters is of course to stay safe and in good health.
However, another important thing is not to neglect ourselves and the way we look. I know that it’s not always easy, especially if you have kids and you have to work and do so many things at the same time.
BUT! you need to find time for yourself. Taking care of yourself and feeling beautiful especially when in quarantine is very important and trust me, it will help you feel so much better.
So keep reading for my tips on this super easy hairstyle!
After washing your hair, let them dry a little bit so they are not soaking wet but still damp.
Apply any oil or detangler and brush from the ends to the top. I use the Tresemme Keratin Smooth Shine Oil. It smells fantastic, it is a great detangler, gives me extra shine and also controls frizziness.
Then separate your hair in 2 sections and split each section in half.
Braid each section and secure with elastic bands. I like the braids to be loose in order to get more bouncy curls.
Leave the braids overnight.
In the morning it’s time to take off the braids. If they are not fully dried, you can get them blow dried before taking them off.
Flip your hair upside down to shake the curls and give them extra volume.
Now if you are going for a no-heat hairstyle, you can leave your hair like this. Or if you don’t want your hair on your face, you can tight the top section in a ponytail.
To add a little extra style use your curling iron in just a few random pieces on the top of your hair. This way you will get extra shape, more bouncy curls and volume!

You want to use a heat protection spray, I used my Revlon Uniq One, its my favourite and smells like coconut!
When using the curling iron keep them for a few seconds and try to keep a space between every chank of your hair so this will give you a more natural, wavy look. Curl these pieces away from your face.
Having the wavy hair as a base helps you get this extra volume and it’s a very good trick that will not only save you time but also protect your hair from extra heat! If you want a few tips on how to grow healthy hair after heat damage you might be interested in my recent post.
Once you finish with the curling iron, flip your hair upside down to shake them and this will help to get this loose curls hairstyle. You can leave your hair down or you can go for a ponytail hairstyle, they both look great!
Finally, use a hair spray to hold the curls and a pump of a frizz control oil at the ends for a silky smooth finish.
So this is the final curly hairstyle!
My natural hair is something between curly and wavy, so this curling method works great for me.
This hairstyle lasts longer than my natural curls, so even the next day I can just touch up a few chunks and still looks perfect.
Give it a try and let me know what you think! Or if you have any other tips for curly hair, feel free to share them in the comment section below!
P.S. The best thing to do until this is over, is to stay safe, be patient and look beautiful 😊
